Image
Hello blog! Today my partner and I, decided the music background for each scene. during scene 1 a diegetic sound will be heard. As both actresses are having a conversation. in scene 2, upbeat music will be heard. Inside of the headphones while the actress is running. in scene 3, during the action of the chasing, diegetic sounds of leaves breaking. intense thriller music will be heard in the background. the bad guy will be chasing the actress. in the chase scene energetic, thriller and scary music will be playing to create a sense f fear. and the point of views will intensify it. at the end the weapon being being hit will be intensify . at the end their will be a voiceover of Claire. But because my partner and I could not meet. I recorded the voiceover. I started of by reading the script over and over again. then i decided to record myself reading the script. finally I actually recorded multiple times. and chose the best one i liked. after I will add the voiceover to the film and edit

Production blog: talking it out

Image
My partner and I decided to call each other. In the call we briefly talked about the film more. Although, we did not physically meet up to film. We thought that this will give us more productivity. Mainly because we have been busy personally. We decided to slightly edit. We did this by going through each scene we filmed. Because we had to film many times. I looked at each scene we filmed. Then we decided which ones to keep. In my decision I considered the lighting, smoothness of the camera movements. For some scenes we have decided to reshoot them as they were not to our liking. Next time we both wish to be more prepared, but as always other factors play into our schedules. For example, we were rushed therefore we had no time to pick all of ours props. But as for now we placed the some of the scenes we liked into the film to develop. Hoping that we could get more and more scenes done. I made a joke pertaining to the blanks left for 2 minutes serves as our reminder. overall the call w

Production blog: Gloom's day

Today my partner and i went to the park. Her mother pick me up and headed to the park. We were dropped off with our needed materials. At first i pointed out how windy the weather is today. But at the time we could still film. We decided to start the scenes. I started off with the headphones on and wore exercise attire. I started to jog, we remade the scenes when we needed to. For example, we refilmed the scenes with dialogue but we realized the wind was too loud for us to have a recording of the script. So we continued to the next scene, scheduling that scene for later on. We walked around the park going on place to another. We tried to find the right place to film I considered the lighting and the area the other scenes could possibly take place. We found about two spots which we had to reshoot some scenes. Though walkers and people going about their daily activities in the park interrupted our filming. I tried my best to not let them distract us. While we were looking at the videos w

Production Blog: Music choice

Image
Today my partner and I discussed the music choice. We felt that the music choice was very important. For each scene we felt that the music will heighten the experience. For each scene we sat down, discussing the right music for each scene. At the start we decided to add a regular beat to the background of the conversation. As the main character start to jog electronic work out music can be heard playing in her ear buds. As she jogs the music continues. When she feels someone is staring she takes of the ear buds. In this scene the music will stop. Dead silence as she looks for someone. Suspenseful and adrenaline music starts playing while the man is  running towards her and the camera pov. The titles play as the suspenseful crime scene music in the background.

Today my partner and I met up. We texted each other that today was the day that we planned. I felt organized in a sense. Creating a schedule will allow us to get a break down of how we will be filming. We started by jotting down the days we are available. I did this to have a clear sight of which days will be best. According to our schedule. This also includes parents as they provide transportation. Then we picked out the days we were going to film. This also included which scenes we were doing that day. I did this so everything could be filmed properly and not rushed. We also added which props we were going to need. I mentioned we should stop at a store to buy it before filming. We had to alter our schedule around the other participants such as Naturelle sister schedules too. Making sure shes available on the days she is helping with a scene. Even though we made an efficient schedule we were unfortunately not able to film. Scheduling the day of filming for next week. Overall the meet

Planning log: title design

Image
The font we will be using for the title design is Ibm plex mono. It will look something like this.  Contrast Color- The color of the titles will be white with a light-dark shadow behind them. This will make the tiles easy to see and read, as well as, add some type of intensity and mystery to the film. The font size of the main title will be 36 in size. The font size of the subtitles will be 6 sizes smaller. Letting the audience know the order of importance in the title sequence. Working Title will be something like “The of Case 89”. It will be in bold and in all caps, LOOKING SOMETHING LIKE THIS. The title will first enter by sliding in and zooming in a bit, then leave with a fade-out Titles will disappear after 2 or 3 seconds except for the main title which would be 5 seconds
