Editing blog: a second try

 Today, I had a chance to make up for the day i was not here. Naturelle bought two sprite bottles to school for us to use. As we stopped in front of the vending machine we realize they restored and now they had sprite. I laughed it off, used the Sprite bottle we had filmed it. In the middle of filming in scene one, i am about to open the sprite bottle exploited causing a blooper. I requested that we made an edit of our bloopers because we had more. After I finished acting in scene one we moved to the other location on the patio. This time I was the camera person! I took a medium shot then slowly a full body shot as she stood. After we made the last scene where we both meet up. Overall it was fun and i was glad we could make up that day. For the editing we decided to do for homework one day and in class the next day. I will be doing the sound recording of the sprite opening and the steps. For the background music i wanted something upbeat as the commercial show but the sound did not match our voice, and it made our voice seem like background noise instead of the music. I suggested slowing the music down but it made the whole clip slow. So i am choosing another one or hoping to slow the tempo!

Planning blog: props, costumes, back-up...

  Scheduling We plan to begin filming in early February during the week of the 6th and finish the week of the 20th. Then edit for a week to two weeks until it is done. This schedule includes prep time for props and costumes, planning ride accommodations, and finalizing any script or plot points.  Location  We are looking at multiple locations, and depending on the weather and availability, the final selection will be made. Production blog: Crash!

 Today at the old neighborhood we filmed the scene where the character tragically gets hurt in a car accident. This plot of our story is supposed to give the character Nathalie a sense of remorse for the way she treated her friend. Hoping a sense of loss gives her a change of heart toward her selfish behaviors. To do this scene, I had Alexi that has a car drive toward the camera. This took multiple shots, each having different techniques for example the first was just a slow stop but the others combined a honk or a harsh stop. To create the allusion of a car accident without harming each other---we did not actually film a car hitting one of our teammates ( disclaimer) --- I had POV shots of the character acting like they got bumped by the car. To create this I filmed a slow motion of what happens, shooked the camera in the falling motion, filmed inside of the car, and had the actor act out falling.
