Intro Blog


  Hello, I am Nurdlie Luberice! My hobbies are mainly dancing, drawing, watching documentaries or and I recently started playing the flute. I watch shows like The Good Doctor, Hospital Playlist, and The handmaid's tale, and my favorite movie or superhero venom. My most watch genre of movies is mainly historical romance. My favorite genre of music is indie, k-pop, hip hop, and electronic music. I enjoy watching crime and research documentaries the most. I joined the band at the beginning of this school year, 2021-22. I am a beginner in flute! Though I now know how to use and play the flute. I am playing flute through the marching band. This is fun and gives me the social experience I need.  I joined Media Studies because I wanted to take my own self-portraits but it was personally difficult to learn about photography online: the cost and the pace. I wanted to make my own self-portrait as a hobby to get comfortable with cameras. In the summer I wanted to buy a camera but I did not know how to use a camera. Plus the world was in quarantine there were limited places open to experimenting with. When I found out my school offers media studies I instantly wanted to take the course. It was a relief because I get to participate in projects with other students. There is a teacher to guide me unlike if I were to teach myself online personally. I've been having a good time in media studies hope it gets better!

Planning blog: props, costumes, back-up...

  Scheduling We plan to begin filming in early February during the week of the 6th and finish the week of the 20th. Then edit for a week to two weeks until it is done. This schedule includes prep time for props and costumes, planning ride accommodations, and finalizing any script or plot points.  Location  We are looking at multiple locations, and depending on the weather and availability, the final selection will be made. Production blog: Crash!

 Today at the old neighborhood we filmed the scene where the character tragically gets hurt in a car accident. This plot of our story is supposed to give the character Nathalie a sense of remorse for the way she treated her friend. Hoping a sense of loss gives her a change of heart toward her selfish behaviors. To do this scene, I had Alexi that has a car drive toward the camera. This took multiple shots, each having different techniques for example the first was just a slow stop but the others combined a honk or a harsh stop. To create the allusion of a car accident without harming each other---we did not actually film a car hitting one of our teammates ( disclaimer) --- I had POV shots of the character acting like they got bumped by the car. To create this I filmed a slow motion of what happens, shooked the camera in the falling motion, filmed inside of the car, and had the actor act out falling.
