Planning Blog: Location, Participants, Health, Schedule, Backup Plan


Location: Any local park will be our major location.This will both set the scene of the incident and convey that the characters are normal people who live normal lives

Health: My group’s safety comes first, therefore we are taking all measures to make sure all the actors are safe during filming. Jehdeen D has agreed to oversee all activities done during the film. She will ensure that there are no dangerous weapons used in film and have first aid ready just in case an actor gets hurt during the chase scene.


Schedule: 

On 3/4/22, our group will create a storyboard

On 3/5/22,our group will begin film 

On 3/12/22, our group will film and make any readjustments to each shot

on  3/19/22, our group will begin editing 

On 4/2/21, our group will film and edit any shots that needs to be changed 

On 4/9/22 our group will do final remakes of each shot if necessary and do finishing touches to film

On 4/15/21, our group will complete the production blog





Backup Plan: 

If one actress can’t do their part in the film for whatever reason, we will replace them with another actress to fill in the gap. If an edit couldn't be done by one person, another person will do it so we can be on schedule. If the weather condition of our location isn’t matching our script, we will either wait another day or move locations that look similar to the one before.

Planning blog: props, costumes, back-up...

  Scheduling We plan to begin filming in early February during the week of the 6th and finish the week of the 20th. Then edit for a week to two weeks until it is done. This schedule includes prep time for props and costumes, planning ride accommodations, and finalizing any script or plot points.  Location  We are looking at multiple locations, and depending on the weather and availability, the final selection will be made. Production blog: Crash!

 Today at the old neighborhood we filmed the scene where the character tragically gets hurt in a car accident. This plot of our story is supposed to give the character Nathalie a sense of remorse for the way she treated her friend. Hoping a sense of loss gives her a change of heart toward her selfish behaviors. To do this scene, I had Alexi that has a car drive toward the camera. This took multiple shots, each having different techniques for example the first was just a slow stop but the others combined a honk or a harsh stop. To create the allusion of a car accident without harming each other---we did not actually film a car hitting one of our teammates ( disclaimer) --- I had POV shots of the character acting like they got bumped by the car. To create this I filmed a slow motion of what happens, shooked the camera in the falling motion, filmed inside of the car, and had the actor act out falling.
