Sound is usually used to display the emotions of the characters and their current feelings  

in the situation  

I found that more obscure genera/songs were used as opposed to the most popular songs  

of the era  

Common genres include indie and folk  

 
 

c.Mis-En-Scene  

Costumes are usually realistic outfits you would see average people wearing as they go 

 about their day  

Usually not much makeup as they want the characters to appear as realistic and relatable as  

possible  

Acting is usually with an emphasis on display on characters emotion towards each other  

and reality rather than supernatural or crazy types of events like you would see in action or fantasy 

 movies  

 
 

d.Editing  


Editing is usually not too crazy and is kept to more simplistic utcops meant to show life  

No flashing tracking shots with 360 cameras or anything

f.What elements of the genre that you like? 

I like how easy it is to put yourself in the characters shoes and relate to their struggles. 

 It makes the viewing process much more enjoyable when you relate to a characters and their  

struggles.  

 
 

g.What elements of the genre do not appeal to  

A lot of the films can appear very similar and repetitive. Characters are commonly copy and 

 pasted as well as movie plots.

 We worked together to create the movie and then showed it to a buddy to receive some feedback. We sought an outsider's viewpoint on the movie, someone who wasn't engaged in its creation. Planning blog: props, costumes, back-up...

  Scheduling We plan to begin filming in early February during the week of the 6th and finish the week of the 20th. Then edit for a week to two weeks until it is done. This schedule includes prep time for props and costumes, planning ride accommodations, and finalizing any script or plot points.  Location  We are looking at multiple locations, and depending on the weather and availability, the final selection will be made. Genre Research: It Chapter 2

  Genre research (It Chapter 2) Camera Angles (CAMS) - I noticed in the movie that there is a frequent amount of low angles, eye levels, extreme close-ups, high angles, and tracking shots. These angles and shots were used to either show the reactions on the character's face, make the character feel like it's being followed or watched, create dramatic tensions or emphasize how scary the villain is. Mis-en-scene (CLAMPS) - The costumes of the characters were realistic, casual outfits for the protagonists and an old, torn, and dirty outfit for the intended character of the antagonist.  The lighting depended on where the scenes were being shot. For example, in a tunnel when confronting the antagonist it’s usually quite dark or dim, just enough to still the characters, engaging the audience and showing the antagonist emerge from the darkness into the light to seem horrifying, flashing lights in battles.
